LM09 - Speak Up with Confidence: Negotiation & Assertiveness Training
This course equips participants with practical communication, assertiveness, and negotiation skills to handle workplace conversations with confidence. Through real-life scenarios and guided practice, participants learn how to express needs clearly, set boundaries respectfully, and negotiate win-win outcomes without conflict or discomfort.

Module 1: Introduction to Negotiation and Assertiveness
Understand what negotiation and assertiveness really mean in the workplace. Participants explore the differences between passive, aggressive, and assertive communication, setting the foundation for confident and respectful interactions.
Module 2: Core Skills of Assertiveness
Develop the skills needed to communicate clearly and respectfully under pressure. Participants learn how to use “I” statements, set healthy boundaries, and respond professionally in challenging situations.
Module 3: Core Skills of Negotiation
Learn the fundamentals of negotiation through simple, relatable examples. Participants explore key concepts such as active listening, BATNA, and ZOPA, and how these apply to everyday workplace negotiations—not just formal deals.
A guided negotiation simulation reinforces learning through hands-on experience.
Module 4: Applying Skills and Wrap-Up
Participants integrate assertiveness and negotiation skills into a single approach for real-world conversations. The session wraps up with a summary of key takeaways, reflection, and practical tips for applying skills immediately at work.
