LM07 - Training the Trainer: Mastering the Training Cycle, Building Programs that Work
This course is designed to equip trainers, facilitators, and subject matter experts with the skills, frameworks, and mindset needed to design and deliver effective, learner-centered training. It focuses on strengthening facilitation capability, applying adult learning principles, and using the ADDIE model to ensure training programs are aligned with business goals and lead to meaningful learning transfer.

Module 1: The Trainer’s Role in Driving Learning
Explore the evolving role of the trainer—as facilitator, motivator, and evaluator. This session highlights
the skills and mindset needed to engage adult learners effectively and make training impactful.
Module 2: Learning Styles of Adult Learners
Discover how adults learn best. Participants will examine different learning styles (visual, auditory,
kinesthetic) and explore practical ways to design sessions that keep learners engaged.
Module 3: The ADDIE Model – A Trainer’s Roadmap
A step-by-step guide to the training cycle:
Analysis: Identifying training needs and aligning with business goals
Design: Structuring objectives, content, and methods
Develop: Creating materials and activities that stick
Implement: Delivering sessions with impact
Evaluate: Measuring effectiveness and ensuring continuous improvement
Module 4: Practical Application & Action Planning
Participants will design a training program using the ADDIE framework. Through activities, they’ll practice
analyzing needs, drafting objectives, sketching content, and planning evaluation methods, ensuring
learning transfer beyond the training room.
