HR-02 - Unsavory Culture: Workplace Bullying and Harassment

This course empowers participants to recognize, respond to, and prevent workplace bullying and harassment. It provides practical tools for identifying early warning signs of toxic behaviors and offers strategies to manage and resolve workplace conflict effectively. Participants will also learn techniques to strengthen mental resilience and maintain emotional well-being in challenging environments. The course emphasizes the importance of knowing when and where to seek help—whether through internal mechanisms or external support systems—to ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive workplace for all.

Contents:

Module One: Relevant Laws on Workplace Bullying and Harassment

  • Covers key legislation, including Republic Act 7877 (Anti-Sexual Harassment Act), RA 11313 (Safe Spaces Act), RA 10627 (Anti-Bullying Act), RA 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act), and RA 10173 (Data Privacy Act).

  • Discusses other relevant Republic Acts and DOLE Department Orders related to anti-discrimination and workplace protection.

  • Highlights the legal responsibilities of employers in preventing, addressing, and managing incidents of bullying and harassment in the workplace.

 

Module Two: Workplace Conflict and Resolution

  • Identifies the root causes of workplace conflict, including common triggers and contributing dynamics.

  • Encourages a mindset shift, viewing conflict as an opportunity for collaboration, learning, and growth rather than purely as a problem.

  • Develops skills in navigating conflict constructively, with a focus on personal development and leadership in challenging situations.

 

Module Three: Mental Health Check and Help

  • Introduces Republic Act 11036 (Mental Health Act), DOLE Department Order No. 208-2020, and Labor Advisory No. 17-2023 on workplace mental health policies and programs.

  • Provides guidance on how to seek help from internal and external support systems.

  • Shares practical strategies to manage stress and avoid the escalation of mental health issues, promoting overall well-being in the workplace.
